چکیده

A 6th order low-pass 1.6 to 3.2GHz gm-C filter for fiber optic adaptive EDC receivers cascades three Bi-Quads permitting reduction of group delay variation down to 10ps. Cut-off frequency is tuned by switching CMOS varactors polarity. THD is below -40dB at 0.9Vpp-diff output. CTF is implemented in a 0.18 m SiGe process, it occupies 0.17mm and consumes 0.3W from 3.3V supply. Index Terms — Continuous time filters, Tunable filters, High-speed integrated circuits, Optical fiber dispersion

A wide tuning range 4 th-order Gm-C elliptic filter for wideband multi-standards GNSS receivers

A 4 th order Gm-C elliptic low-pass filter with a wide continuous tuning range is presented. The continuous tuning is achieved by means of a new tuning circuit which adjusts the bias current of the Gm cell’s input stage to control the cut-off frequency. With this tuning circuit, power efficiency is achieved by scaling down the power consumption proportionally to the cut-off frequency while keep...

Design of Gate-Driven Quasi Floating Bulk OTA-Based Gm–C Filter for PLL Applications

The advancement in the integrated circuit design has developed the demand for low voltage portable analog devices in the market. This demand has increased the requirement of the low-power RF transceiver. A low-power phase lock loop (PLL) is always desirable to fulfill the need for a low power RF transceiver. This paper deals with the designing of the low power transconductance- capacitance (Gm-...

Radio receivers should be robust to large out-of-band blockers with small degradation in their sensitivity. N-path mixers can be used as mixer-first-receivers [1] with good linearity and RF filtering [2]. However, 1/f noise calls for large active device sizes for IF circuits and high power consumption. The 1/f noise issue can be relaxed by having RF gain. However, to avoid desensitization by la...

A Low-Voltage Tunable Channel Selection Filter for WiMAX Applications

This paper proposes a low-voltage and low-power fully integrated digitally tuned continuous-time channel selection filter for WiMAX applications. A 5-order elliptic low-pass filter is realized in a Gm-C topology. The bandwidth of the fully differential filter is reconfigurable from 2.5MHz to 20MHz (8x) for different requirements in WiMAX applications. The filter is simulated in a standard 90nm ...

Low latency IIR digital filter design by using metaheuristic optimization algorithms

Filters are particularly important class of LTI systems. Digital filters have great impact on modern signal processing due to their programmability, reusability, and capacity to reduce noise to a satisfactory level. From the past few decades, IIR digital filter design is an important research field. Design of an IIR digital filter with desired specifications leads to a no convex optimization pr...
